People take medications or pharmaceutical products for a variety of reasons. The chemicals and their metabolised by-products naturally end up in sewage and are commonly found in wastewater pipes or the discharge from wastewater treatment plants.

Our team can carry out testing at multiple suspected pollution sites and track back to the source. When carrying out this type of testing, we recommend it is paired with microbial source tracking. This testing will further support the evidence that human wastewater is present and a contributing factor in the pollution.
